Boys Tennis: No. 3 doubles team gives Brainerd 20th victory of season

WILLMAR—Matt Hintz and Camden Cooper outlasted Willmar's No. 3 doubles team for a 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 victory and enabled the unbeaten Brainerd Warriors to edge the Willmar Cardinals 4-3 in a Central Lakes Conference meet Thursday.

The Warriors' No. 1 team of Nathan Rud-Garrett Goeden won 6-1, 6-1, as did the No. 2 team of Ian Aadland-Patrick Moraghan.

Tanner Lundberg provided Brainerd's only singles victory, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1. Keenan Hodge lost via tiebreaker at No. 4 singles.

Brainerd, 10-0, in the CLC, and 20-0 overall, ends the regular season at home Thursday, May 17, against Alexandria.

Junior varsity doubles winners for the Warriors were the tandems of Clay Jambor-Nick Stout, Noah Spitzley-Tenny Kelm, Westin Andres-Noah Blum and Devin Emslander-Trey Pike.
