How sparse has the snow been this winter in the Brainerd area? The Brainerd Invitational Cross Country ski meet was held Thursday in Bemidji because of lack of snow here.

Sharon Beebe, Brainerd's leading women's 600 scorer at LaGuyal Lanes this season, recorded her third of the 1976-1977 campaign Thursday with a 615 tally in the pin up league.

A snowstorm swept across the Brainerd region last night and this morning, bringing up to five inches of snow in this area overnight. The outlook is for increasing snow and winds tonight with colder temperatures.

The first check for the Memorial Fund in Brained was for $1,000 on behalf of the O'Brien Mercantile Co. The check was given to L. Lloyd Sleezer by Ed "Tom" O'Brien.
