Camp Olson counselor enters plea in criminal sexual conduct case
WALKER - A former camp counselor at Camp Olson near Longville has pleaded guilty to one count of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Spencer Olin Krum, 19, Eugene, Ore., entered his plea Dec. 29 in Cass County District Court before Judge John P. Smith. Sentencing is set for Feb. 23.
Three counts of felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a second count of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct are expected to be dismissed.
According to the court complaint filed against him, Krum encouraged the 14-year-old victim and a 16-year-old camper to sneak out of their cabin at 1 a.m. and to meet him, then walked to another building on the camp property.
