Cheryl Whitman of Brainerd was recently awarded honorable mention for her "Portrait of an Old Man" entry in the 1977 art competition of Art Instruction Schools of Minneapolis. She was a winner in competition with hundreds of entries from contestants from every state in the union, Canada and foreign countries.
