Quist's quest for meaning
Elk River artist Glenn Quist says his paintings - a blend of dreams and reality - are open for interpretation by the viewer. A reception will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday at the Great River Arts Center in Little Falls, and the exhibit runs through February.

Emery won't leave you bored
Veteran performer Sean Emery (above) will launch the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts spring slate with a double dose of comedy and juggling at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium. Tickets are $9-$12.

Whether singing in English or Russian or Italian or Spanish, the Aitkin High School Choirs plan to sound good at the Classics Concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the school auditorium. Admission is free.

Twin Cities experimental rockers Niobium and electropunk group Avenpitch, along with Duluth blues rockers Sight Like December, will usher in a new era at the Eclectic Cafe grand opening at 9 p.m. Saturday at the downtown Brainerd venue. Admission is free.
