Glenn Quist reception

planned Saturday

LITTLE FALLS - A reception for Glenn Quist's painting exhibit will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday at the Great River Arts Center in downtown Little Falls. The exhibit will run through February.

Refreshments and appetizers will be served.

Quist lives and works in Elk River. His paintings have been shown in several solo and group exhibitions and have received numerous awards. He also works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in digital media.

"My paintings are done from my imagination and are meant to reveal a place between or a blending of dreams and reality," Quist said. "For myself, the work I do is about quiet beauty, emotion, composition and color. I avoid the narrative which hopefully encourages the individual interpretation of any viewer."

Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
