Ojibwe leader endorses Clinton for president
ONAMIA - Melanie Benjamin, chief executive of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians in Minnesota, announced Monday her endorsement of Sen. Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party's nominated candidate for United States President in 2008.
"I'm honored to endorse Senator Clinton," Benjamin said in a news release. "She is one of the most caring, sincere and genuine individuals I have ever met. I respect her greatly and admire her tremendous leadership abilities."
