Poor ice may limit vehicles at Eelpout
WALKER - Poor ice conditions may restrict vehicle use on Leech Lake during the 27th annual International Eelpout Festival in Walker, the Cass County Sheriff's Department reported.
Sheriff Randy Fisher said as of last week ice conditions on Leech Lake were such that full-size motor vehicles would be restricted from being on the ice on Leech Lake.
Fisher said smaller vehicles, such as snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles, would be allowed.
A final decision will be made this week, Fisher said.
