15-year-old Staples
girl hit by pickup
STAPLES - A 15-year-old Staples girl was taken to Lakewood Health Systems in Staples on Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle when she was trying to cross the road at the 300 block of Fourth Street N.E., in Staples, the Staples Police Department reported.
The girl, Jena Blessing, was to be treated for possible pelvic and facial fractures. No information was available Saturday on the girl.
It was reported that Jeffrey Kobliska, 31, Staples, who was driving a pickup, attempted to stop for Blessing, but due to road conditions, could not do so.
