Hans Borgwarth of Earl B. Olson Farms was one of the featured speakers at the International Poultry Convention held in Atlanta, Ga. He spoke on security management and sanitation.
40 years ago (1968)
Almost 500 snowmobiles roared off to a chilly start in the third annual Jaycees Snowmobile Derby here this morning. They were greeted with below zero temperatures and piercing wind.

Brainerd High School started a class in home economics with 34 girls and matrons entering to be instructed in this most important branch. The Brainerd innovation has received favorable comments in many quarters and the class is pursuing its work with enthusiasm.

The shower baths at the YMCA have at last been put in. The privileges of the shower will be appreciated by all, but especially by the members of the gymnasium classes.
