Motorists urged to watch out for MnDOT crews
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds motorists to slow down and use caution when encountering crews doing maintenance road repair on area highways now through early April. Pothole patching and crack sealing repair are necessary because of the recent freeze/thaw cycle.
Weather permitting, crews will be working between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists need to be aware that a maintenance operation is a slow moving work zone and there may be multiple trucks and flaggers involved with lane closures.
Drivers are urged to slow down when approaching a maintenance operation, use caution and pass one truck at a time being careful not to cross the centerline or drift over the fog line.
