Heise expected to be named BHS principal
Erich Heise, assistant principal at Brainerd High School, is expected to be named BHS principal.
Heise, who has worked as an assistant principal at the high school for the past five years, would succeed Steve Razidlo in July. Razidlo was chosen to succeed Brainerd Assistant Superintendent Gary Phillips when Phillips retires in June.
Interviews for the BHS principal position took place Feb. 15 and the recommendation the hiring committee made was forwarded to Brainerd Superintendent Jerry Walseth. The announcement was made to school staff at the high school Feb. 16, Heise said.
The Brainerd School Board likely will accept that recommendation at an upcoming board meeting. Board member Ruth Gmeinder congratulated Heise on his new position at Wednesday's school board curriculum committee meeting.
