First Lutheran Church, Brainerd, will host its second annual Father-Son Huddle at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. A ham dinner will be served. Special music will be provided by the Rev. Steve Cook and Frank Asplund.

Archie Teigen of Brainerd captured first place in a fiddlers' contest held at Grand Forks N.D. sponsored by the 40 & 8 Club of the American Legion there. Teigen's violin is imported from Norway.

Brainerd retail merchants will hold a St. Patrick's Day sale March 17 and will also sponsor a free pancake feed. The free pancake feed will be held at the Elks Club rooms here from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
