Armed robbery suspect sought
Staff Writer The Brainerd Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in the armed robbery Saturday of the Freedom Station convenience store in west Brainerd.
Brainerd Police Chief John Bolduc said about 1:28 a.m. Saturday a man wearing a stocking cap picturing flames, a dark T-shirt and blue jeans walked into the convenience store at 801 West Washington St., displayed a hand gun and demanded cash.
No one was injured in the robbery, Bolduc said. He said the suspect left the store on foot to the east with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build and no facial hair.
The convenience store's security surveillance system photographed the suspect.
"We're hoping anybody who might know the suspect would call the police department and help us identify him," Bolduc said.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Brainerd Police Department at 829-2805.
