Joan M. Blistain
BAY LAKE - Joan Margaret Blistain, age 83, of Bay Lake, died on March 14, 2010, at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby. She was born on Jan. 6, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., to Louis and Helen (Below) Wolf. She is a member at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Webster Groves, Mo., Delta Gamma, Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood, and its Naomi Circle.
She is survived by one son, George (Margaret "Meg") Blistain, of Fairview Heights, Ill.; two daughters, Joan "Kerry" (Richard) Quinlisk, of O'Fallon, Mo., Peggy (Peter Berg) Blistain, of Deerwood; seven grandchildren, Angela Huber, Helen Idzorek, Kathryn Idzorek, Joseph Quinlisk, Peter Quinlisk, John Quinlisk and Paul Quinlisk; honorary grandchildren, Morgan Kertzmann, Katie Pabst and Shaun Johnson; three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; foster daughter, Florence Green; one brother, Frank Wolf; and one sister, Dorcas Whitehead.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirkwood, Mo., on Monday, March 22, at 1 p.m. Friends may call on Friday one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the Heartland Animal Rescue Team, Bay Lake Area Lions Mobility Bus or the St. Louis Zoo. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
