Area credit union expands membership area
The National Credit Union Administration granted a membership expansion to Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union as of Feb. 28.
The credit union membership area now includes the populations of Cass, Crow Wing, Douglas, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties, as well as Blowers and Paddock townships in Otter Tail County.
Chuck Albrecht, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union president/chief executive officer, said the move allows the credit union to reach more low-income underserved residents and offer a choice for financial services.
People who live, work, worship or attend school in any of the counties listed or who are a blood relative of someone who meets the requirements are eligible for membership.
Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative serving more than 31,000 members in central Minnesota with full-service offices in Brainerd, Crosby, Little Falls and Staples.
