Foundation makes grants
LITTLE FALLS - The Initiative Foundation announced that it has awarded 12 community grants totaling $63,925.
The following area organizations were selected as grant recipients:
Bridges of Hope - general operating to support early childhood efforts, $10,000, to support general operating costs for a program that assists preschool children and their families in accessing housing, education, emergency childcare, mental health services and parental support.
Partners for Quality Education, Staples; Stomping Grounds Coffee House, $5,000, to increase educational, recreational and intergenerational activities for area youth..
Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood; Salem WEST strategic planning, $2,000, to develop a new strategic plan that maximizes resources in order to better serve those experiencing poverty and personal crisis. er.
University of Wisconsin-Superior; Northwoods Nonprofits, $750, to support nonprofit management workshops for organizations in the Brainerd Lakes area.
The Bob & Marsha Bunger Endowment, a donor-advised fund hosted by the Initiative Foundation, announced a grant award to Milaca Friends of the Library; new library, $675.
