Crosby-Ironton School Board approves cuts EDUCATION
CROSBY - The Crosby-Ironton School Board voted Monday to cut $222,988 from the 2006-07 budget.
Reductions include eliminating an elementary class teacher and reducing a kindergarten position and an art specialist position. The kindergarten day-care subsidy will be eliminated, a new custodian will work five hours a day instead of full time, and the district will reduce the number of electives offered and buy fewer supplies. It also will not hire a full-time technician to save $20,979.
