NISSWA - For the third year in a row, the Nisswa School PTO will host an auction fundraiser to benefit education programs at Nisswa Elementary School.
The third Bloom Fool's Auction begins at 6 p.m. April 5 at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa. There will be food, a silent auction and raffle and will conclude with a live auction and dancing to the music of "The District." Friends, families and community members are all invited.
Tickets are $30 and may be purchased through Nisswa School, Northern National Bank in Nisswa and Baxter and Lakewood Bank in Nisswa.

Medicare class set
BAXTER - A New to Medicare class will be offered for a minimal fee through Brainerd Community Education and will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
People will learn about Medicare parts A, B, C and D. Call 454-6924 for more information and to register.
Mock drill Saturday
BAXTER - About eight fire departments in the Brainerd lakes area, including the Brainerd Fire Department, participated in a mock disaster drill Saturday morning in the parking lot at the former Reed's store on Highway 371 in Baxter.
The crews responded to a mock structural collapse in the parking lot.
Crosslake meetings set
CROSSLAKE - The city of Crosslake Planning and Zoning Commission/Board of Adjustment will have its regular meeting at 9 a.m. April 11 at city hall.
A public hearing is planned at 1 p.m. April 11 at city hall.
The Planning and Zoning Commission members will conduct an on-site inspection of the agenda items on April 10. Commission members will meet at 9 a.m. in city hall. The inspection is for the purpose of gathering facts. No decisions will be made at this meeting. The public is welcome to attend.
