Restorative justice session planned
BAXTER The Lakes Area Restorative Justice Project will host an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Brainerd Community Education room at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
Those attending are asked to use the Community Education entrance.
The project needs volunteers to facilitate processes that bring together juvenile wrongdoers, those they harm and community members. These meetings hold young offenders accountable, provide support for victims and strengthen the fabric of the community.
Volunteers don't need to have a specific background or experience. Attendance at all three days of the training May 20-22 is required to be a volunteer.
