Dave Michaud, a sales representative for Dondelinger's Chevrolet, was recently singled out in the Brainerd Area Chamber of Commerce's Mystery Shopper Program.

The Harrison School Patrol will be awarded the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Minnesota Safety Council. Representing Harrison will be patrol members Greg Shifflett and Ken Morton and Patrol Adviser Leonard "Ole" Howard.

D. Ray Madison, local developers said today that he had received approval from the Holiday Inn firm to construct an 80-unit motel on property he owns just south of Brainerd. The new Holiday Inn will be a two-story building and will include a restaurant, bar, lounge and swimming pool.

60 years ago (1948)

Charles Russell of the Russell Dairy, said today that in the past two days approximately 5,000 persons had inspected the new Russell ice cream plant on Fifth and Front.
