A group of 25 Brainerd boys, all under the age of 16, were guests of the Brainerd Lions Club Saturday in the opening day of the trout season in a fishing party on Whitely's Creek hosted by the club and property owners exclusively for the use of Brainerd boys this season.

J. Herschel Hardy, of Chicago, has purchased the Ransford Hotel, stores and annex, Towne and McFadden block, Wise block from the Gould-Gray Co. this was the largest real estate deal in Brainerd for many years.
