Road projects announced
WALKER - Cass County Engineer David Enblom has announced the 2008 county road construction program.

The county will complete rebuilding and paving the south half of County State Aid Highway 71 along the west shore of Ten Mile Lake to connect Upper Ten Mile Lake Road with Lower Ten Mile Lake Road between Hackensack and Walker.

CSAH 40 from west of Hackensack to the Hubbard County line will be rebuilt this year and paved next summer. One mile on CSAH 41, adjacent to CSAH 40, will be rebuilt.

CSAH 4 north of Remer will be rebuilt and paved this year.

County Road 141 near Cass Lake will be graded and paved. City streets in Whipholt will be paved. A 500-foot section of road will be paved to connect the Steamboat Lake public access with the adjacent bicycle trail.
