The weather forecast for the Brainerd lakes area for the 2009 Minnesota fishing opener, as provided by the National Weather Service in Duluth:
Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain showers. Low temps 35 to 40. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain showers. High temps 50 to 55. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Low temps 35 to 40.
Regulations
Lake Mille Lacs will see the same regulations as last fishing season. And, for the most part, there are few changes in regs across the state.
