Cardinals take Mid-Minn crown AREA BOYS' GOLF
PARK RAPIDS - The Staples-Motley Cardinals boys' golf team captured the west Mid-Minn Conference title Tuesday after shooting a first-place 207 at Headwater's golf Course.
Ben Duhn's 39, Zach Israelson's 40, Nick Forsberg's 41 and Michael Strain's 42 helped the Cardinals advance to the conference championship.
Also advancing as individuals are Andrew Browne, Tyler Fix and Bryan Silvers of Wadena-Deer Creek.

OTTERTAIL - Led by Mike Pettit's 102, the Pillager Huskies boys' golf team finished seventh in the Quad County Conference meet at Thumper Pond Tuesday.
