The Brainerd Blue Thunder's season opener against the St. Cloud River Bats at Mills Field on Thursday was suspended by lightning with two out in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Brainerd was trailing 10-0 when the game was stopped. It will be resumed at a later date when St. Cloud plays at Brainerd.
The teams are scheduled to play at St. Cloud at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
Blue Thunder first baseman Mike Gedman stretched to make a putout in Thursday's game at Mills Field.

Madison is scheduled to play the Blue Thunder at Mills Field at 6:35 p.m. Saturday and at 5:35 p.m. Sunday.
