The Brainerd Post Office has a new set of wheels. The "wheels" are 8 quarter-ton AMC Jeeps, and they are part of a new mechanized delivery service aimed at cutting costs and improving city mail service.

Wayne Curtis, former owner of Brainerd Heating Company, was employed by the city council last night to be the city's building inspector.

Miss Mary Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Graham, Brainerd, has been elected editor of the Scriptorium, bi-monthly publication of the College of St. Scholastica for the 1945-46 school year.
80 years ago (1925)
On Friday evening, May 29th, 89 students were graduated from the Brainerd High School, and received their diplomas, signifying the completion of four years of high school work.
100 years ago (1905)
G. D. LaBar, H. McGinn, Peter Shumaker and N. H. Ingersoll returned today from Kimball Bay on Pelican Lake where they fished for a couple of days. They caught 110 fine black bass.
