The black bear who visited dumpsters in the Graydon Avenue area has apparently moved on. The black bear, judged from descriptions, is to weigh about 200 pounds. The bear did not threaten neighbors in the area.

The Brainerd School Board's Building Committee agreed on the location of a proposed football field on the lower site. The field will be surrounded by an artificial turf track.

Babe the Blue Ox arrived at his new home, the Paul Bunyan Center. The huge statue has come all the way from Kansas City, Mo., on a flatcar.
