LOCAL BRIEF Marching Minnesota for Mentors update
Gary Walters and his children are walking the length of the state to gain awareness, money and mentors for Kinship Partners.
* The group walked 22 miles and 49,759 steps Monday.
* They stopped one mile south of Geneva on Highway 26.
* As of Monday, they have raised $5,405.
* The group passed the 200-mile mark. The plan is to walk 426 miles.
* The goal is to raise $27,000 and 27 new mentors.
