Starting Monday, the Brainerd Police Department will enforce a new ordinance aimed at those who park in downtown spaces which have time limits. If you move your car and repark it, you'll have to repark it at least three blocks away from the original spot.

Downtown Brainerd merchants will keep their stores open until 8:30 p.m. every Thursday, beginning this Thursday.

Royalty from the St. Paul Winter Carnival and the Minneapolis Aquatennial will be in Brainerd for the Paul Bunyan Carnival this weekend.

Les Hage, chairman of the golf committee, announced today that the Brainerd Country Club golf course is now open for the summer. The greens are in excellent condition and all the fairways are dry.

Boy Scouts of the Crow Wing Council left this morning for summer camp at Clearwater Lake. There was much excitement among the boys for in many instances this was their first experience in Scout camp.
