Leona M. Mattson
Leona M. Mattson, age 94, resident of Brainerd, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Care Free Living Center in Brainerd. She was born on Dec. 19, 1914, to Emil and Anna (Unger) Anderson. She retired and moved to Crooked Lake in 1972, where she and her husband both enjoyed their retirement.
Survivors include her sons, Marvin (Heidi) Mattson, of Brainerd, and Lee (Judy) Mattson, of Coon Rapids; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, June 25, at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, one mile north of Garrison on Highway 169. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Bay Lake Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
