The Northern Pacific Railway Company announced that on July 1, it will move its passenger service operations from the present depot building on Washington Street to new facilities at Eighth and Front Streets in Brainerd.

Winner of the annual hole-in-one golf contest sponsored by the Brainerd Junior Chamber of Commerce was "Rock" Spencer who plopped his pellet within eight and one fourth inches of the cup.
80 years ago (1928)
Joseph T. Deneil is in a quandary today. A wild mallard duck and seven goslings walked into his home. He shooed them out. Few minutes later the whole brood walked into his woodshed and is roosting there comfortably.
