Fred J. Pessek
Fred J. Pessek, 91, Brainerd, died Sunday, June 21, 2009. Fred was born in Hutchinson on Dec. 3, 1917, to Frank and Rose (Zak) Pessek. Fred married Neida L. Vorlicek on Sept. 17, 1943, at the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Peace in Glencoe by the Rev. Elmer Broetzmann. He worked with his father on the farm until 1946 when he became a mechanic in Hutchinson. Fred worked as a mechanic for Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1980 then moved to Brainerd in 1986. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, boat building, camper topper building, woodcrafts, camping and gardening. Fred is preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Neida; sister-in-law, Helen Pessek; and by many nieces, nephews and loving relatives.
