Brainerd police
ASSAULT - Arrested a 19-year-old man for second-degree assault at 5:04 a.m. Thursday at a residence on the 200 block of North Fourth Street after it was reported he struck another person with a baseball bat. The suspect also was arrested for minor in consumption of alcohol, on a probation violation and on two unrelated warrants for underage consumption of alcohol.
THEFTS - Colleen Holmgren, 500 block of South 10th Street, Wednesday reported her son's bicycle stolen.
Shane Fladhammer, 200 block of Third Avenue Northeast, Wednesday reported clothing stolen from his unlocked vehicle. A beer can left in the car was turned over to investigators for processing.
Scott Wermter on Wednesday reported a backpack was stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at L Street and Eighth Avenue Northeast.
Shane Rhuby, 900 block of Seventh Avenue Northeast, Wednesday reported the theft of fishing tackle and keys from his unlocked vehicle.
Baxter police
PROPERTY DAMAGE - Steve Mohn on Wednesday reported something was thrown at his vehicle while on Highway 210 and Baxter Drive.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT - Received a report of a bear in a tree at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday at Olivewood Drive and Deerwood Road.

ARRESTS - Arrested three men at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday at a residence on the 8000 block of Wise Road. A 21-year-old was arrested on a warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance and for obstructing the legal process, a 28-year-old was arrested on a warrant for second-degree DWI and for obstructing the legal process and a 20-year-old was arrested for obstructing the legal process.
THEFT - Paula Bickford, 10000 Thompson Road, Wednesday reported money and a gift card stolen from a pickup.
