Al Brown's 41 was the day's best round Tuesday in Men's Senior Golf League play at the Brainerd Country Club course. Other low rounds included 43's by Tom Cooper and Dick Jones and 44's by Will Faust and John Struthers.

Brainerd is growing up. It is becoming a big city. The aldermen of the Brainerd City Council last night arrived at these conclusions as they held first readings on ordinances streamlining the traffic regulations and extending the fire zone.

Brainerd Elks have returned from Willmar happy with a beautiful trophy in their possession, the result of their degree team's high exemplification of ritualistic work in the contest at the state Elks convention. The work of the local team was acclaimed as the finest ever presented in Willmar.
