PIERZ - Jason Sadlovsky and Rick Schlieman hit home runs to power the Lastrup Lakers past the Lakes Area Lightning 7-4 in exhibition amateur baseball Wednesday.
Sadlovsky hit a two-run first-inning homer. Schlieman added a three-run blast in the fifth that erased a 4-3 Lightning lead and put the Lakers ahead 6-4.
For the Lightning, Fred Weiss was 2-for-5, Michael Rinio 2-2, Drew Boland 2-3 and Paul Jenkins 1-4 with an RBI.
Rinio took the loss. He pitched five innings, allowing six earned runs and five hits, walked three and struck out one.
