After losing the opening game 4-0, Joe Martin and Brainerd led the way in an 8-0 victory in the second game of Monday's American Legion baseball doubleheader against Little Falls at Adamson Field.
Martin finished 2-for-2 with a double and a sacrifice and drove in two runs during the second game and Ethan Branum pitched seven innings and struck out nine to earn the win.
Martin was 2-for-3 in the opener. Brett Jenkins went 2-for-4 and Tom Fairbanks had two walks and a double.
Little Falls' Logan Kalis held Brainerd scoreless in the opening game and Eddie Wenzel collected a double and went 2-for-3. Eli Ploof drove in two and Riley Hirsch one in the opener. Kalis finished 2-for-3 in the second game and Hirsch was 1-for-2.
Brainerd and Nisswa will complete a game that was suspended by rain earlier this month before playing a regularly scheduled doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
