Another Camp Confidence classic
CONFIDENCE LEARNING CENTER FISHING CLASSIC
The Confidence Learning Center's 26th annual Fishing Classic was held June 20 at Cragun's Resort's south beach on Gull Lake.

Among those on hand were Al and Ron Lindner, Gary Roach, Nick Adams, Ray Gildow, Marv Koep, Jeff Weaver, LeRoy Ras, Perry Good, Larry Bollig, Gary Lake, George Cooper, Dave Csanda and Walleyedan Eigen. In all, 80 guides donated time and costs to help celebrate and raise money for Confidence Learning Center programs.

The 2009 award winners:

Bass division (total weight): 1, 8 pounds, 12 ounces, David Meyer (guide), Dominick Granholm, Steve Solberg; 2, 8-8, John Janousek (guide), Chip Lear; 3, 7-14, Terry Strus (guide), Darrick Anderson, Chris Hoglund.

Walleye division (total weight): 1, 10-12, Perry Good (guide), Joe Mucha, Jason Good; 2, 9-8, Al Lindner (guide), Doug Dypwick, Aaron Kinney; 3, 6-9, Larry Bollig (guide), Steve Baumann, Randy Amenrud.





The Baxter Bass Snatchers handled setup, weigh-in and the scoreboard, with more than 20 volunteers, and put on the Kids' Casting Contest.



Northern pike division (total weight): 1, 16-8, Gary Pearson (guide), Jim Johnson, Sally Mast; 2, 12-7, Steve Borders (guide), Todd Thompson, Roxanne Thompson; 3, 7-12, George Cooper Jr. (guide), Gene DeBusk, Aaron Schroeder.

Mixed bag division (total weight): 1, 13-8, Jon Stolski (guide), Neil Gislason; 2, 12-04, Todd Bollig (guide), Lee DeRosier, Parker DeRosier; 3, 10-13, Walleyedan Eigen (guide), Shelly Eigen, Ike Eigen.

Lunkers: bass, 3-13, John Janousek (guide), Chip Lear; walleye, 5-5, Walleyedan Eigen (guide), Shelly Eigen, Ike Eigen; northern: 9-11, Jon Stolski (guide), Neil Gislason.

Roy and Joe Maurer from Pikes for Vets, Grand Rapids, picked up the non-released fish after the event, and more than 50 walleye were cleaned and 40 pounds of filets were added to the group's goal of 200 pounds for a fish fry for veterans.
