Here's a look at the Brainerd School District's MCA-II test results in math and reading, school by school, released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Education:
Baxter Elementary
• 95 percent of third-graders were proficient in math; 93 percent were proficient in reading.
• 84 percent of fourth-graders were proficient in math; 83 percent were proficient in reading.
Garfield Elementary
• 92 percent of third graders were proficient in math; 72 percent were proficient in reading.
• 98 percent of fourth graders were proficient in math; 80 percent were proficient in reading.
Harrison Elementary
• 88 percent of third graders were proficient in math; 83 percent were proficient in reading.
• 77 percent of fourth graders were proficient in math; 83 percent were proficient in reading.
Lowell Elementary
• 89 percent of third graders were proficient in math; 90 percent were proficient in reading.
• 77 percent of fourth graders were proficient in math; 83 percent were proficient in reading.
Nisswa Elementary
• 90 percent of third graders were proficient in math; 86 percent were proficient in reading.
• 78 percent of fourth graders were proficient in math; 82 percent were proficient in reading.
Riverside Elementary
• 95 percent of third graders were proficient in math; 90 percent were proficient in reading.
• 86 percent of fourth graders were proficient in math; 90 percent were proficient in reading.
Forestview Middle School
• 63 percent of fifth graders were proficient in math; 79 percent were proficient in reading.
• 60 percent of sixth graders were proficient in math; 77 percent were proficient in reading.
• 67 percent of seventh graders were proficient in math; 79 percent were proficient in reading.
• 69 percent of eighth graders were proficient in math; 73 percent were proficient in reading.
Brainerd High School
• 82 percent of 10th graders were proficient in reading.
• 46 percent of 11th graders were proficient in math.
Minnesota Learning Center
• 15 percent of 10th graders were proficient in reading. (13 students took the test.)
ISD 181 Learning Center
• 65 percent of 10th graders were proficient in reading (23 students took the test).
• 6 percent of 11th graders were proficient in math (52 students took the test).
Middle Level Alternative Program
• Fewer than 10 students in each grade took the tests so those results were not available.
