Golf leagues Halverson Law remains leader
Halverson Law Office, with a 26.5-17.5 victory over Dutch's Duffers, maintained its lead in the Legacy Men's League at Cragun's June 25.
Halverson has 256.5 points and leads second-place Edward Jones by 12.5. Edward Jones defeated GL Sports 18-15.
Thelen Heating and Roofing hung on to third place with 236 points despite a 23.5-20.5 loss to Lakes Financial Services.

Grand View Lodge Outing
The Coed Golf Outing was held at The Pines on June 23.
Game format was a scramble with a twist. Teams had to use every golfer's second shot at least one time in nine holes.
Finishing first with a 32 was the team of Ed and Cheryl Bontrager with Nancy and Paul Schmidt.
Second place with a 33 went to the team of Pearl, Pete and Shawn Peterson and Marian Duffy.
Third place with a 36 were David and Kathy Keeling with Clarise and Don Skalman.
Long putts were by Dave Keeling and Lynn Parker.
Closest to the pins were by Kirk Tietz and Cheryl Bontrager.
Chip-ins were by Pete Peterson and Paul Schmidt.
The July 7 women's outing will be at The Preserve. The next coed outing is July 21 at The Preserve.

Pine River women
Twelve women played the aces, kings and queens game of the day June 25 at Pine Country Club.
The winning team included Donna Balzer, Sue Conley, Carol Lovro and Eileen Springer.
Low putts were by Carol Lovro with 13.
Whitefish women
The Whitefish women's 18-hole league had its Rally for the Cure June 24.
There were 40 players, all of whom participated in support of the Rally.
Pine ball was the game of the day. Each player had to play a pink ball from tee to hole on at least two holes on the front and two holes on the back.
Net scores for only the pink ball player counted toward the team score. Team scores could be reduced by one stroke for the pink ball resting within the circle on No. 12 (par 3) or by the pink ball player on No. 16 wearing pink attire.
The winning team consisted of Betsy Otteson, Sharon Sullivan, Barb DeLaHunt and Shari Loechler with a 68.
Second place went to the team of Marguerite Baker, Linda Carpenter, Judy Eastwood and Enga Wodziak with 70.
Third place went to Barb Hanson, Marlys Guse, Darlene Bonnema and Pat Radovich with 71.
Low net was a tie at 71 between Betsy Otteson and Mary Boeder.
Mary Jean Herdey recorded the only chip-in and Enga Wodziak and Sherrie Adam both recorded birdies.
Sherri Adams was closest to the pin on No. 4 and received a hybrid club from the Susan G. Koman for the Cure Foundation.
Other special events winners included Joan Heuer for closest to the line on No. 3 and Shari Loechler for longest putt on No. 9. Both received gift certificates donated by the Whitefish Pro Shop.
All players whose drives rested on the green on No. 4 were recognized and awarded a Rally for the Cure golf ball. Women wearing the most pink attire were also recognized and were awarded prizes.
Club pro Steve Bengtson made a presentation at the monthly meeting in which he explained development of the new forward tee boxes that will be put into use next week, and reviewed the new MGA slope and rating information for red and white tees for women.

Breezy Point women
June 25 was guest day and a cancer benefit at Whitebirch. Game of the day was a 4-person scramble.
The first-place team included Verna Miller, Joey Larson, Bobbie Griffiths and Sharon Seeker with a 35.
Sandy O'Day, Marilyn Holland, Bunny Oseland and Doris Moede tied for second with Bugs Schmidt, Sue Bevans, Sue Adamson and Judi Moravec with a 37.
Third place went to Sue Marsolais, Becky Lamere, Ardell Cook and Jill Roeder with a 39.
Judy Thomas received an award for her hole in one.
Donations were accepted to benefit a local cancer cause.
Next week's event will be guess your score and will be played at the Traditional course.
