STAPLES - Gunner Johnson pitched a one-hitter and struck out 15 as Staples-Motley defeated Bertha-Hewitt 5-0 Tuesday night.
Johnson walked five as S-M improved to 10-1.
S-M's Tyler Jenniges was 3-for-3 with a run and two RBIs and Anthony Jenkins was 2-4 with a run, double and RBI. Alex Jansson, Trevor Ness, Chad Beebe each had one hit.
