Thousands of people again are expected to flock to Gregory Park for the 35th annual Arts in the Park, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The event is free and will feature food, crafts, entertainment and the Century of Cars show.

About 140 artists will have stained-glass windows, wood sculptures, wood-turned-art, professional photographs, acrylic paintings, pencil drawings, essential oils and bath soaps on display at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center.

Renaissance re-enactments will be performed throughout the day by Village of Wynandremer, the Brainerd lakes area office branch of the Kingdom of Northshield. The Renaissance performers will be in costume and will have booths at the arts event.

Other entertainment: Quinlan Kile, a 10-year-old girl from Minneapolis, will juggle; Paul Imholte of St. Cloud will play the dulcimer, a stringed instrument; and Pat Surface of Ely will perform folk songs.

"The artists are always different every year," said Nancy Cross, Brainerd Community Action director said. "There is always somebody new here.
"Arts in the Park is a tradition and it's a wonderful afternoon to meet with friends and family and take a stroll. We hope to see everybody there."
Cross said that, for the first time, Brainerd Community Action won't be the only sponsor. First Supply of Brainerd will be at the event to promote water conservation products.
