The gospel according to the Schimpps

The Schimpp Family and other groups will perform at the annual Gospel Night at 7 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Assembly of God Church in Baxter. Tickets are $10-$13.

Park yourself in the park

The 34th annual Arts in the Park - featuring 140 artists, food, entertainment and the Century of Cars show - will be from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday at Gregory Park in Brainerd. Admission is free.

Moondance revisited

Moondance Jam, the annual classic rock festival, will get under way from 3 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday at Moondance Ranch near Walker. Creedence Clearwater Revisisted will headline. Tickets are $85-$425.

A 'Crappie' play

The Minnesota-set "Crappie Talk," Pequot Lakes Community Theatre's summer comedy, will begin its run with a show at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium. Tickets are $8-$10.

THURSDAY, SATURDAY: THEATER

Off to see the 'Wizard'

Dennis Lamberson's take on "The Wizard of Oz" completes its run with shows at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Chalberg Theatre on the Central Lakes College campus in Brainerd. Tickets are $5.
