Merrifield man injured in three-vehicle accident ACCIDENTS
PEQUOT LAKES - A 39-year-old Merrifield man was injured in a three-vehicle accident at Highway 371 and Lake Street in Pequot Lakes at 5:22 p.m. Thursday, the State Patrol reported.
Joseph McGuire was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated.
It was reported that McGuire and a vehicle driven by Gerald Sandberg, 29, Backus, were stopped at the traffic light on Highway 371 at Lake Street when a vehicle driven by Kristina Rubitschung, 42, Backus, rear-ended Sandberg's vehicle pushing it into McGuire's vehicle.
Sandberg and Rubitschung were not injured, as well as their passengers. Riding with Sandberg was Shelly Sandberg, 28, Backus and riding with Rubitschung was Charles Rubitschung, 21, Backus.
