Brainerd police

THEFT - A woman came to the police department at 12:55 a.m. Monday to report her vehicle was stolen from her residence on Sixth Avenue Northeast. The woman decided to wait until she was sober to sign a stolen vehicle report.

Jessica Butler, 2000 block of Fred Lane, Sunday reported a bike stolen.

Katie Pekula, 700 block of South Fifth Street, Sunday reported her purse stolen.

Jared Fyle, 100 block of F Street, Friday reported his bike stolen.

BURGLARY - David Yde, 1000 block of Maple Street, Friday reported his garage broken into and copper and galvanized steel pipe stolen.

CRASHES - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of D Street.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Southeast 12th and Pine streets.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 11:08 p.m. Saturday at South Sixth and Norwood streets.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 10:49 p.m. Saturday at Maple and South Fifth streets.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - It was reported Sunday that windows had been broken out of many businesses at the BN shops, 1511 Northern Pacific Road.

Carolyn Avelsgaard, 500 block of South 11th Street, Friday reported damage to her property.

INVESTIGATION - Received a report at 4 p.m. Sunday of two people breaking into a building on the 600 block of Laurel Street. Officers located the subjects, who had locked themselves out of their own apartment.

Received a report at 7:15 p.m. Saturday from a woman at a residence on the 900 block of South Eighth Street who said she'd been assaulted. About a dozen unbiased witnesses told police it was a verbal argument only and the assault was unfounded. Both parties were advised on assaultive behavior over minor issues.

Received a request at 12:23 a.m. Saturday from Cub Foods, 417 Eighth Avenue Northeast, to remove an angry customer. Officers responded and spoke to the customer, who thought that the store had taken some of his money. The store returned 43 cents to the customer, who was advised not to return and was issued a trespass warning letter.

ARRESTS - Responded to a report of an assault at 1:05 a.m. Sunday at Liquor Pigz, 718 Laurel St. Officers made contact with the suspect, a 27-year-old man, on the 500 block of South 10th Street. The suspect resisted officers and was arrested for obstructing the legal process and on a Hennepin County warrant. The victim refused to pursue charges for assault.

Responded to a report of a fight at 12:05 a.m. Sunday on the 800 block of West Laurel Street. A 21-year-old woman at the residence was placed in detox, a 20-year-old woman cited for underage consumption, a 22-year-old man was arrested on a Hennepin County warrant and a 19-year-old woman was arrested on a Hennepin County warrant and for underage consumption.

Arrested an 18-year-old man for minor consuming alcohol and a 22-year-old man for gross misdemeanor providing a false name to a police officer after responding to a report Saturday of several underage kids consuming alcohol at a residence on the 500 block of Quince Street.

BURGLARY - David Rosvold, 24000 block of Emstad Road, Sunday reported a burglary.

Richard Bohlman, 10000 block of North Long Lake Road, Sunday reported a burglary.

Jeffrey Batcher, 24000 block of Nightengale Avenue, Saturday reported a burglary.

Brenda Butler, 27000 block of Ross Lake Road, on Friday reported a burglary.

WATER COMPLAINT - Received a report of a boat without a driver going in circles on Clearwater Lake about 3:55 p.m. Sunday. The boat stopped when it ran out of gas. No one was injured in the incident.

Received a call at 4:24 p.m. Saturday from a Manhattan Beach resident who said there were too many boats on the lake. Boat and Water Patrol agreed.

PUBLIC ASSIST - Received a call Saturday from a woman on the 13000 block of Mission Park Drive who said she found a man sleeping on her couch and kicked him out. A deputy informed her to keep her doors locked and call right away if something like this happens again.

Received a report at 9:34 p.m. Friday from a man whose ex-girlfriend left some belongings at his residence and he wanted to know how to get rid of them. A deputy advised the man of his options.

THEFT - Ronald Bardine, 21000 block of Crow Wing County Road 10, Saturday reported his daughter took his vehicle over an hour ago and he would like to report it stolen.

Received a report of a $35.63 gas drive-off from Lake Country Foods and Gas at 11:09 a.m. Saturday.

PARTY COMPLAINT - Received a report of a loud party at 3:42 a.m. Saturday at a residence on the 40000 block of Smokey Hollow Road in Emily. The problem resolved itself before deputies arrived as all parties were asleep but one who was acting respectful.

Baxter police

THEFT - Kelsie McGuire, 12000 block of Knollwood Drive, Monday reported two laptop computers stolen.

INVESTIGATION - Received a report at 9:50 a.m. Saturday of smoke coming from a vent at a soccer field bathroom, 12599 Mountain Ash Drive. An officer found the remnants of a smoke bomb in the bathroom.

Observed a vehicle following a squad car at 2:06 a.m. Friday on Inglewood Drive, with the driver attempting to be discreet by following at a good distance. A traffic stop was performed and both parties in the vehicle denied following the squad car. They said they were not in need of police services and had no questions for the officer at the moment.
