Staples tops Walker 5-2
LEGION BASEBALL
STAPLES - Alex Jansson struck out three, walked two and allowed four hits and no earned runs to pitch the Staples Legion baseball team to a 5-2 victory over Walker Monday.

Jordan Riewer finished 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Peter Thorman was 2-3 with a run and RBI. Trevor Ness hit a triple and Chad Beebe hit a double for the 6-3 Staples team.

Little Falls 11, Pierz 5

LITTLE FALLS - Ben Nelson was 2-3 with two runs scored and Logan Kalis was 2-4 with a run scored to lead the Little Falls Legion team to an 11-5 victory over Pierz Monday.

Riley Hirsh finished 2-4 at the plate and picked up the win from the mound. He went two innings and allowed two walks, one hit and no runs. He struckone.

Tyler Monson went 3-4 with a triple and three RBIs. He still took the loss on the mound.

Pierz's Tyler Swoboda was 2-4 with two runs scored.

Nisswa splits

PARK RAPIDS - Trevor Thompson was 3-for-3 with six RBIs and a home run to help the Nisswa Legion bounce back from a 7-5 game one loss to Park Rapids with a 16-5 game two victory Monday.

Bronson Shepherd finished 3-4, with three RBIs, a double and a triple. Nick Rardin went 2-3 with three RBIs and a double. Tyler Jensen was 3-5 with four runs, two stolen bases and a double. Kyle Schaible scored three runs and Matt Lambrecht went 3-3.

Zach Voels picked up the victory.

Dan Bendzick pitched the game one loss. He allowed nine hits, six earned runs and four walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

Shepherd was 3-4. Lambrecht was 2-3 with an RBI. Jensen finished 2-5, Thompson tripled and Bendzick doubled.
