Grant deadline arrives Aug. 1
The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation announced the next deadline for receiving grant applications is Aug. 1.
The foundation has about $20,000 in grant funds to be awarded. The foundation offers two grant rounds each year with deadlines of Aug. 1 and Feb. 1. The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation will focus its funding on organizations that serve Crow Wing and southern Cass counties. Grant applicants must serve the residents of either county.
The grant guidelines have four focus areas and applications must address one or more of the following areas: youth, community progress, human service and assistance to nonprofits. Organizations applying for a grant must be nonprofit, charitable organizations designated as 501(c) (3) by the Internal Revenue Service.
The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation is one of more than 500 community foundations that exist in the country today.
The foundation is a public charity that attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the residents of Crow Wing and southern Cass counties.
The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, a $52 million regional foundation.
