The Lakes Area Lightning dropped a pair of baseball games to Wolf Lake Sunday 2-1 and 9-3.
Mark Germain was 2-for-3 with a double and a run in game one. Michael Rinio finished 2-3 with an RBI. Fred Weiss and Trevor Thompson added the other two hits.
Aaron Jenkins was tagged with the loss. He allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out two.
In game two, Jenkins went 1-2 with a home run. Tony Parrish hit a triple and Rinio was 1-2 with an RBI.
Brett Cloutier suffered his second loss of the season. He allowed 10 hits and eight earned runs over five innings. David Berndgen pitched two innings of four-hit relief.
The Lightning fall to 12-8 overall and 11-4 in the Lake and Pine League. They travel to Bemidji 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
