When did you move to Brainerd?: "My family moved here from Canada in 1936 to a home on Beech Street, I was 12. My dad was a farmer and there was a drought for a few years in a row and he finally decided to move his family. My mother had a brother in Walker so we stopped there and then came here. My dad became a carpenter.

"I graduated in 1942 (from Washington High School) and then the family moved to a home near the YMCA and we lived there until we sold it to the (Brainerd) school in 1999. Then my sister, Evelyn, and I moved to this house (in southeast Brainerd). This house used to be St. Andrew's Catholic Church's rectory."
Favorite pastime: "Watching the Twins. I love the Twins."
Favorite Twins player: Joe Mauer.
Favorite all-time Twins player: Kent Hrbek.
Greatest accomplishment: "Being here with my family. My sister and I took care of my parents. We both worked outside the home, but we worked it out where one of us would always be here to take care of them."
TV program you watch often: "The Twins, 'Price is Right' and I watch Mass often."
Favorite dish you make: "I'm better at making cakes, my marble cake is my favorite with broiled frosting on it, which is coconut, nuts, butter and brown sugar and then you put the cake under the broiler for a few minutes."
