Crow Wing sheriff

DRIVING COMPLAINT - Melissa Collier, 10000 block of Robin Street, Tuesday reported a driving complaint on a black car that had earlier killed her cat.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Gregory Harper, 16000 block of Miles Circle, Tuesday reported damage to his vehicle from a fireworks display.

INVESTIGATION - Received a call from a man at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday who said he was left in the mine pits and is walking to the Brainerd area on Highway 210. A Crosby officer picked up the man as he was wanted for questioning in a gas theft.

Baxter police

ANIMAL COMPLAINTS - Cited a homeowner on the 10000 block of Shoreview Drive on Tuesday for two counts of dog at large. It was the homeowner's second offense, requiring a court appearance.

Received a report at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday of an injured loon on Highway 371 at the Mississippi River bridge in south Baxter. A Crow Wing County sheriff's deputy assisted the loon back into the river and it swam away fine.

Brainerd police

THEFTS - Timothy Martin, 500 block of West College Drive, Wednesday reported the passenger window of his vehicle broken and his stereo missing.

Margaret Rosenberg, 200 block of North Eighth Street, Tuesday reported the theft of a license plate.

CRASH - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of Southwest Fifth Street. One driver was cited for no insurance and her vehicle was impounded.

BURGLARIES - It was reported Tuesday that an apartment on the 400 block of West College Drive was broken into. The tenant, a 19-year-old man, was unable to identify missing items because he was in jail after being arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor following a party complaint at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday at the apartment building.

Joshua Dalzell, 1000 block of South Eighth Street, Tuesday reported his residence broken into and numerous items taken.
